Mothers and Toddlers
Easter Service and Egg Hunt
Thank you all very much for making the Toddler Group Easter Service and Egg Hunt such fun. We were lucky with the weather...albeit it was a bit too hot for hiding Chocolate Eggs in the garden. So we hid many packets of Easter Haribos instead!
Thanks to Carolyn for doing the Easter Service and the Palm procession in church. And thanks also to Ann B and pat M for baking Easter cakes for the adults!
The 40th Anniversary of the St. Mary's Toddler Group
The St. Mary's Mother and Toddler Group recently celebrated its 40th Birthday in style with a fantastic party in the Fitzwilliams Centre. Over 40 of the current Mums and Toddlers attended the party as did over 20 past and present volunteers, including the current leader of the group, Pat Mead. The event was also attended by the Revd. Jeremy Brooks and the Revd. Carolynn Croisdale-Appleby.
The celebration was officially started by Dick Smith, the Town Crier, giving thanks to the past and present helpers who have all contributed towards making the group a friendly, welcoming, and long lasting place to visit!
The Toddlers enjoyed a play in the garden followed by a special party lunch. They also had fun with bubbles and balloons whilst the grown-ups helped themselves to a fantastic buffet. The children indulged in lots of cake and a game of "pass the parcel" before everyone joined in a song and dance session
