National Lockdown Update
From 3rd January we will livestream a single service at 10am from St Mary's until further notice.
During the COVID-19 situation, we are finding new ways to meet together as a church family! Our building is open for personal prayer from 9am-5pm daily. Please follow our guidelines for visiting here.

Daily Reflections During Lent
For the 40 days of Lent there will be opportunity for members of our church families to offer a five minute videoed reflection on the theme of “What Lent Means to Me”. This personal reflection could come from a number of angles. It could be that Lent is a time when you want to go deeper into your own personal journey and share how you will approach that. It might mean that you want to use your voice, or your action, to raise awareness of injustice issues in our society or around the world, or you could want to draw attention to our endangered planet through loss of habitat and global warming. It could be an image or a faith story that always comes to your mind during Lent. Or it could be something else entirely … but it’s not really about giving up chocolate!
Whatever the 40 Days of Lent are going to mean to you can in this way be shared with others virtually across our churches – and beyond. Your reflection of around 400 words would be presented as a voice-over to an image of your choice. The image – a painting, photograph, drawing or a text quotation – need not be the subject of your reflection, simply link with it or illustrate it in some way.
If you would like to offer a Lent reflection as part of the series, here’s what you need to do….
Reflections should be recorded in MP3 or MP4 format (e.g. using the voice recorder or video on a smart phone or laptop) and then uploaded to a OneDrive file or alternatively WhatsApped as soon as ready and not less than 10 days before the week of broadcast. Also, the image you wish to be shown on screen during your reflection should be emailed at the same time. We will provide details of how to do this.
You may choose the week when your reflection will be broadcast, which are as follows:
Sunday 21st February
Sunday 28th February
Sunday 7th March
Sunday 14th March
Sunday 21st March (beginning of Passiontide)
The Ministry Team will then video very short seasonal prayers to “top and tail” the reflections so that each one is 10/12 minutes in length overall. They will then be broadcast at 7pm each evening on the Beaconsfield Ministry Team YouTube channel while Compline takes a break.
We very much hope you will wish to share your own Lenten journey in this way. Do please email Sharon with your response, or if you would like further information, click here to email Rev'd Sharon Roberts.
