
Lady Ann Hyde Tomb Repairs

The Friends have completed repairs to the tomb of Lady Ann Hyde in the churchyard, which is situated just behind the Waller tomb. The work was undertaken in March 2008 and Cliveden Conservation Workshop Limited were the chosen contractors.
Ann Hyde, who was the niece of Edmund Waller, married Edward Clarendon who subsequently became the Earl of Clarendon and she adopted the title of Lady Ann Hyde.
EDMUND WALLER, POET AND POLITICIAN 1606 – 1687
Edmund Waller is buried in the churchyard of St Mary and All Saints Church in a Grade II* listed tomb which underwent repairs during June, July and August 2006.
A celebration to commemorate the birth of Edmund Waller on 3rd March 1606 was held from 8th – 10th September 2006. As part of the celebrations there was an exhibition of Waller artefacts and a concert during the weekend of Friday, Saturday and Sunday, September 8 –10th.

Hollis Tomb
"The Hollis/Anthony tomb was restored in October 2004. No descendants of the Hollis family were located before restoration was begun, but a member of the Anthony family, who believe they may have been descendants, came forward after an article was published in the Bucks Free Press."
