"Mission Rescue" Holiday Club 2011: "Case Closed....Mission Accomplished"
"Your mission...should you choose to accept it...."
It was a fun filled week of spies, secret agents and code breakers at this year's Holiday Club 2011 (aka "Mission Rescue"). The Holiday Club was a case breaking success, bringing in over 70 children from ages 5 to 11 with a team of 35 volunteers including church members, parents and young adults.
And what was "Mission Rescue" all about? While acting as spies and agents, the children discovered how God rescued the Israelites from slavery in Egypt. Through fun activities such as team building, they also learned how God continues to rescue people today through Jesus. On the case delivering these important messages were top secret agents J. Brooks and A. Gibbs.
The week was also packed with a wide variety of activities...which assured a good time for all our participating agents. They included crafts such as model making, singing and drama, sports and games in the garden, and the popular favourite, cooking sessions while eating treats.
A BIG Thank You to all our agents, children and volunteers included, for making our "Mission Rescue" Holiday Club 2011 a "Mission Accomplished" success!
Every year at the Holiday Club, we have up to 75 primary age children together with leaders and helpers learn about God in a way that is fun and memorable. There are songs, drama, craft work, games and stories for all to join in.
